This website will discuss the security issues surrounding the various Microsoft Windows™ Operating Systems, including to a lesser degree MS Windows™ 98/98SE/ME, but primarily MS Windows™ 2000 Professional & XP (Both Home Edition & Professional). However, we will not discuss the MS Windows™ Server Operating Systems such as 2000 Server & Advanced Server or the latest 2003 Server and 2003 Advanced Server since it will be assumed that the typical home user will not have a network with a Domain, but rather will be operating a Workgroup LAN. For those of you who run some distribution of Linux or Linspire™ (formerly LindowsOS™) on your PC and have a Linux network rather than Windows, we will be addressing network security for these systems and networks as well.

This project website was officially launced in 2006.  The primary reason for doing so was to provide you with accurate information on how to protect your home network from Internet intrusion.
